Dailey Precast recently wrapped up its work on 2505 Bruckner Boulevard, a state-of-the-art, multi-story urban logistics and distribution facility in the Bronx in New York City. The two-level warehouse, with clear heights of 32 feet and 28 feet, is flanked by a truck-loading court and two total precast parking structures. The parking structures feature heavy-loaded double T’s that allow overweight vehicles to travel on the second and third floors.

Each of the two parking structures is approximately 154,415 square feet, with four elevated levels designed to handle both car and fleet vehicle parking. There are 664 interior spaces to accommodate both cars and fleet vehicles.

These large parking structures also include prewiring for future electric vehicle charging stations and removable spandrels at Level 2 for a future expansion to the east.

The exterior precast facade includes two colors of sandblasted precast and also a ribbed formliner finish along the base of the garage. The shape of each structure’s footprint is unique, to accommodate the strategic flow of the adjacent warehouse.

Precast erecting was completed over a three-month period. Teams worked closely with Aurora Contractors and other trades on-site to maintain the schedule, even as plans changed.
